Below are some nutritional compositions of some foods that you need to know, as this will help you to monitor your food intake and help you achieve the weight loss you desire.

Banana                             125 calories
Cooked beans                  103 calories
Ice Cream (half cup)         270 calories 
Pork Fried                         335 calories 
Cheese 1 ounce               115 calories
Potato   1 ounce               145 calories.


Preparing your meals

Store and cook your food properly in other for it to retain its nutritive value. Your vegetables should remain fresh and best stored in the refrigerator. Canned foods should not be kept in the refrigerator, except they have been opened. Ensure your meals are properly cooked and fried.

 Eating Habits
It is important you monitor your eating habits. Research has shown that certain factors such as emotional imbalance, results to unhealthy eating habits.

As a piece of advice, whenever you feel that urge to nibble in between meals, please take two sticks of bananas, after 35minutes, take a lot of water. This helps to keep hunger at bay for awhile.

Coping with Obesity

Being over weight causes a lot of discomfort as well as threatens the health status of the individual. Common among the health issues is the heart disease, coronary artery disease (CAD). It is caused as a result of clogging of cholesterol in the arteries and narrows the passage way of blood supply to the heart. This can lead to frequent chest pain and eventually to heart attacks.

When cholesterol gets clogged along the part way of blood flow, it results in high cholesterol levels in the blood, as well as high blood pressure.

However these ailments can be avoided or reduced by adopting good nutrition and exercise practices.

Myths of Nutritionist
Depending on the diagnosis your doctor examined you for. Generally, try to avoid high consumption of saturated fats, food rich in calories such as butter, egg yolks, whole-fat, biscuits etc.

Nutritionists have come up with some acceptable food supplements but I would like to say that the information is often times misleading. Vitamin pills do not give you the required calories, proteins or minerals your body needs. Starchy foods such as yam, cassava and potatoes are not high in calories, neither does it cause obesity.

THE TREND OF OBESITY

Obesity is the accumulation of cholesterol within the body tissues. It is the deposition of fat beneath the skin and other areas of the body. Not everyman that is fat is suffering from obesity.

Excess weigh is as a result of so many factors, such as your eating habits, consumption of saturated fats and cholesterol. Heredity has not yet been linked to obesity. Not been active could also lead to excess weight.

EFFECTS OF OBESITY
Having excess weight could lead to severe backache close to the waist line, as well as pains around the legs. It also impairs respiration making the sufferer very uncomfortable while breathing. Obesity has been linked to various life threatening ailments within the body metabolism such as diabetes, cancer, constipation, abdominal pain, nausea, heavy stomach, irritable bowels, heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, high blood pressure, skin disease, pimples e.t.c.
